Here are pictures of some of the electric vehicles that were on display this weekend in Silicon Valley at the Silicon Valley Electric Vehicle Association’s [sorry- Silicon Valley Electric Auto Association!!] annual Electric Vehicle Rally and at the Tech Museum in San Jose. The stars among the offerings were two prototypes of the Tesla Roadster that is going into production for delivery next summer to a few hundred customers with a projected production run of over one 1000 for the following 2008 model year. Tesla is pioneering a new kind of car company and car with its electric drive roadster and soon to be designed 5-person sport sedan using most of the roadster’s powertrain. Other vehicles on display included Commuter Cars’ half-width Tango that like the Tesla, has [a] 4.0 sec 0-60mph sprint. Also note the hand-built zero-emission cupcakes and the scooters from GreenEMotor .
